Yes to Proposition 33

By From page A6 | October 12, 2012

Proposition 33 is one of the simpler measures on the Nov. 6 ballot. Current law allows automobile insurance companies to offer their customers discounts for staying with the same insurer. This measure allows insurance companies to proportionally extend that discount to new customers who have maintained continuous coverage with a different carrier.

Some breaks in service are forgivable under this proposal; no more than 90 days break in the last five years; 18 months in the last five years due to loss of employment; or due to military service.

Also, children living with their parents would qualify for their parents’ discount.

Hey, what’s not to like. The Mountain Democrat endorses Proposition 33.
