Congratulations on another parade of banners on Main Street light posts and the Belltower in downtown Placerville. It’s always interesting to see the different conceptions and the colorful greeting to our town’s visitors and shoppers.
This year organizer Bill Robinson had record participation with 38 artists participating. Since 2007 when the Placerville Downtown Association switched from wheelbarrows and wine barrels to banners there have been 192 banners created.
Thanks to the participating artists, as well as the organizer.
Try and look at all of them. Some are in downtown parking lots. You could own one or more to hang out in front of your home next summer. They all will be sold at a silent auction during the Art and Wine Festival Oct. 20.
