EDITOR: Pinewood Elementary School in Pollock Pines will be the scene of this year’s Halloween Spooktacular Fun Fest. The free event is open to youth between the ages of baby – 12 years old.
The Pollock Pines-Camino Rotary Club is sponsoring the event this year with many other businesses and organizations adding to the Hallow’s Eve festival. Z Group Real Estate, under the auspices of Community Economic Development Association of Pollock Pines, will be the project managers for the Trunk or Treat within the festival and is still accepting cars/trucks/other vehicles to decorate and be the source of treats for our little spooks to still get that “trick or treat” fun!
This year, A Helping Hand Home Care will add a spooktacular haunted house and a new fortune teller. Lots of games and contests including a carved pumpkin contest; bring yours already carved, a costume contest, and the best decorated “trunk” contest will be featured. Starting at 5:30 p.m., the spooky, scary, but entirely safe, fun fest will run until 8. The community is invited to celebrate with us … safely.
For more information, call school district Superintendent and Rotarian Kevin Monsma at 530-644-5416, Jeff Hammett, Rotarian and overall project manager at 530-903-7121 or Beverly Read for anything related to the Trunk or Treat at 530-644-1644.

Thank you to the Rotary Club and other various groups and people for pulling this off (gentle bow). We are a small community that works hard to bring smiles and laughter to our own and to any visitors...I hope to see more and more neighboring communities come up and play with us...we have so many things to do and more to come...camping, hiking, boating, baseball, chili cook offs, free concerts, tree lighting, fourth of July parade, Pollock Pines Community Church water slides (many things are seasonal--oh , did i mention we celebrate all seasons up here...so there is always something going on) We are the place to play and enjoy yourself--Thanks again Pollock ...we will be there on Halloween.
