Let’s do something nice with the trail

By October 27, 2010

EDITOR:

Much has been said lately about the possibility of “an excursion train” that would run though many of our neighborhoods. Aside from the fact that attempting to operate an excursion train would, in all likelihood, be a complete financial boondoggle from the start, what would benefit our own El Dorado County residents much more is to use the former railroad right of way for a wonderful hiking, bicycling and horseback riding nature trail.

Many more of our residents would be able to enjoy and take advantage of an attribute such as this. Less noise and less pollution as well. Let’s connect a new trail on the railroad right of way with the America River bike trail and really do something nice for our own residents and El Dorado County. Thank you.
