“Dog Shelter Double-Cross”?
I’m not sure that headline really captures the essence of the ensuing article.
I feel gratitude and pride in our local animal shelter for having saved Sophie, the cocker spaniel’s, life.
El Dorado County Animal Services, whose business in part is to evaluate and protect abandoned animals, made good on their mission.
They evaluated Sophie, protected her and ultimately found her a new home.
I can only scratch my head at the previous owner, who admits that if the shelter
wasn’t going to kill her dog, she wouldn’t have left her with them.
