Having spent the first 20 years of my life in Boston, and the last 22 here in ElDorado county my heart goes out to any sports fan from this part of the world. Sports fans in California are a by and large a joke! But they dont know any better. The state is made up of so many transplants form somewhere else, its hard to find a solid fan base anywhere in the state. Additionally, there are multiple teams in the same metro regions, again a fractured fan base. Cali kids will never know how just freakin awesome it is to walk into a sub shop, or bar or school anywhere in New England and see RedSox/Bruins/Patriots/Celtics!!! The fans all know the history and suffer and rejoice as a solid unit. The kids all wear Boston gear, the gangstas all wear Boston gear, the college professors all wear Boston gear, yes even the homeless all wear Boston gear. GO PATRIOTS
