These 2 should be on fire board

By October 26, 2010

I am the president of a local professional firefighters association and a volunteer for the Diamond Springs/El Dorado Fire Protection District. As such I have had the opportunity to see the unique challenges and issues that face rural and small community fire services in our region. I am asking you to support two candidates who are running for the Diamond Springs/ El Dorado Fire Protection District Board of Directors.

Bill Flynn has served for many years, first as a volunteer firefighter, earlier in his life, and then as a board member. He understands the needs of the community in which he lives and how those needs can be met through a fire service that is both professional and volunteer based.

Pat Williams is currently a pilot for a local Emergency Medical Services air medical company. He has years of service there as well as in the military and as a volunteer and professional firefighter. He has a bachelor’s degree in aviation with a minor in fire science and his wife is an integral part of the local emergency medical services community.

Please support these two individuals with your yes vote on Nov. 2.
