We are pleased to hear the Placerville CHP office will once again be patrolling in El Dorado Hills. For a year or two the Rancho Cordova office was serving that area. Now the county is no longer split between two offices.
Placerville, according to the local commander, has quicker response times to El Dorado Hills.
The change back to Placerville brought the Placerville office two more assigned officers, two motorcycles and an additional sergeant.
El Dorado Hills will add about 30 to 40 collisions per month to the 100 already totaled up for the Placerville office’s jurisdiction, according to Officer Phillip McCain. Though McCain said that is not a real high number for such a large geographical area.
But, hey, be careful out there and watch out for those motorcycle patrolmen.
