Six wineries in the Fair Play American Viticultural Area are continuing a tradition started in 1984 with the Festival in Fair Play on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. both days.

The unique geographic, geologic and climatologic factors found in the Fair Play area earned it its AVA designation in 2001 and visitors to the area over the years have discovered the beautiful scenery and wines. The festival will accentuate the products produced in this unique region, the talent and showcase the friendly atmosphere and award-winning wines found at each winery.

Bechard Winery Tasting Room, 5951 Mt. Aukum Road in Somerset, 530-622-0624, is firing up the grill, offering specials on favorite wines and presenting the great music by Jeff Chamberlain. For more information visit bechardvineyard.com or e-mail ted@bechardvineyard.com.
