Tickets are now on sale for the featured grandstand events at the Amador County Fair, including Sunday’s popular and packed Destruction Derby. Because of the popularity of the crash-em, smash-em event, the fair has designated all-reserved seating, including bleachers for the derby. Both reserved and general admission tickets are available for the truck pulls and the professional rodeo on Friday and Saturday.
For more information on entering a car in the derby (several slots are available) contact Jimmy Wilson 209-256-1999.
The derby is put on by the Jackson Rotary Club, which offers trophies and $1,665 in cash. Complete rules for preparing a derby car are on the fair’s Website at AmadorCountyFair.com.
In addition to grandstand events, there are discounted packages for fair admission and carnival rides, that are available only in advance through July 25 at 5 p.m.
Visit the fair’s Website or call 209-245-6921.
