Anderson Family performs in Auburn

PlacerArts is pleased to announce the fourth free concert in the 25th Anniversary Library Garden Summer Series with Anderson Family Bluegrass on Sunday, July 14 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Bring blankets and picnics for a delightful family-friendly evening of music in this lovely outdoor theater. The Auburn Library Garden Amphitheatre is located at 350 Nevada St., adjacent to the Auburn Library.

Anderson Family Bluegrass, from Grass Valley, has been a crowd-pleasing Northern California bluegrass band since its start in early 2005.

The group performed at last year’s Summer Series and delighted the Auburn audience to earn a return engagement.

Mark and Christy Anderson and their four children, Paige, Aimee, Ethan (Bo) and Daisy are making new friends and fans every day with their unbeatable combination of outstanding lead and harmony vocals, impressive instrumental abilities, savvy stagecraft, and boundless energy and charisma.

From the renowned annual California Bluegrass Association Father’s Day Festival at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley to the International Bluegrass Music Association Convention in Nashville, Anderson Family Bluegrass has won over audiences with its fresh, modern approach to the traditional bluegrass sound.

The band has released two CDs — “Anderson Family Bluegrass” in 2008 and “Live from Grass Valley” in 2011.

The Sugar Plump Fairies, providing Auburn Community youth with greater access to the arts since 1997, is a concert sponsor. Summer Series is presented by PlacerArts. To support the public service of PlacerArts in its 30th Jubilee year please visit placerarts.org.

PlacerArts is the Arts Council of Placer County, now celebrating its jubilee year; a non-profit, public benefit agency and the catalyst for the arts and humanities throughout Placer County. PlacerArts is the designated State Local partner of the California Arts Council, a state agency, for the County of Placer.
