Art springs to life

DS Art ShowThe Diamond Springs Art Association is presenting its Spring Art Show and Sale beginning Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18, at the El Dorado County Government Center, Building B, 360 Fair Lane in Placerville.

The hours of show are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and on Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

This year’s painting theme is all about the West and there will also be paintings in the categories of people, floral, seascape, landscape and life.

A free raffle will be held with the winner receiving a painting by Joan Miller, an award-winning painter.

The judge for the show is award-winning artist Urania Christy Tarbet.


This is a free show feature many affordable paintings of all sizes. The association invites the public to enjoy the show and to vote for the People’s Choice award.
