Placerville Improvements

A number of building improvements are in progress in the city at present with prospect of more to follow:

Albert Shafsky has completed the purchase of the Blanchard-Swisler building, adjoining the one he bought some time ago, and will soon begin the work of tearing down the old buildings preparatory to erecting his new store. The latter to be a one story building of fifty-foot frontage and 125 feet in depth …

At the Placerville Sanatorium, five private rooms are being added to the upper floor and the improvements will include a roof-garden or porch where patients may go to get benefit of the sun …

At the Ivy House, Mr. Raffetto has added four upper rooms with large corner bay window; they are now in the hands of paper hangers and when completed will be used by Mr. and Mrs. Raffetto for their private apartments.
