Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center at Sequoia, 643 Bee St. in Placerville, continues Comedy Night on Wednesday, April 4 with funny man Dan Barnhart. The doors open at 7 p.m. with music by Tamra Godey and guests and the comedy starts at 8 p.m. in the Empire Ballroom. Tickets are $15 by reservation and $20 at the door. The Hangtown Kennel Club is starting Obedience, Rally and Conformation classes on Thursday, April 5. All sessions run for six weeks and are held at 7 p.m. at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, 100 Placerville Drive in Placerville. Classes include conformation, puppy kindergarten, beginning, intermediate, novice and rally obedience. There are some people who should take these classes. Kiwanis of Placerville will have its annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grassy area at Lion’s Park, Cedar Ravine Road and Country Club Drive, on Saturday, April 7. The Easter Bunny and his helpers will have things eggstra ready for children ages 3 to 6 to start at 10 a.m. and children 7 to 10 to start at 11 a.m. Refreshments will be available with free hot dogs for the kids, games and prizes. The Easter Bunny is also hopping to Cameron Park for the annual Community Services Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 7, at Rasmussen Park on Mira Loma Drive in Cameron Park. The eggsceptional hunt for children 10 and under starts at 10:20 a.m. After the hunt the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures at about 11a.m. and there will be face painting and a bounce house available for a nominal fee.
