Nightclub mixer

Fudge and love

Wine and soup

The south Fair Play wineries are serving Soups of the World on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10:45 a.m to 5 p.m. Six wineries— Bechard, Chateau Routon, Golden Leaves, Mellowood, Mount Aukum and Sierra Oaks — are serving wonderful soups with wonderful wine. Besides wine tasting there will be artisan breads and snacks, with each winery’s soups. The soup ticket includes a souvenir glass, recipe booklet and a full day of fun. A “culinary” guide will accompany you throughout the day and the Red Packet game gives all participants a chance to win prizes, including a case of wine. Right next door at Holly’s Hill Vineyards, 3680 Leisure Lane, there is the Valentine’s Weekend Food and Wine Pairing with music by Nicholas Lefler on Saturday, Feb. 16 and Sunday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be four courses featuring cod with cumin scented quinoa, tortilla soup, filet mignon with lemon and pepper on frittata and a cheese course.
