The region’s most highly anticipated marching band competition is set for Saturday, Nov. 3 beginning at noon at the Prairie City Stadium on the Folsom High School campus, 1655 Iron Point Road in Folsom.
Featuring 12 of the top marching bands from high schools throughout Northern California, the Folsom Fall Festival is expected to draw thousands of spectators. Last year’s attendance topped 3,000 and organizers anticipate a capacity crowd this year.
In addition to the bands competing in the event, the host Folsom High School Marching Band and Color Guard, voted 2010 Best High School Marching Band by Sacramento Magazine, will perform an exhibition of its exciting new field show.
Special guest band, the Sacramento State Marching Band, will take the field to perform.
The top bands of the day will complete in the finals competition.
Judges from all over the state that have distinguished themselves as successful marching band directors and administrators will decide the champions.
This family-friendly event is open to the public. General admission is $12. Seniors (60 and older), children (12 and under), and students (with ID) are $7. Ages 4 and under are free. A family four pack (two adults and two children) is $30.

“Promoting Excellence in Music Education” is the mission of the Folsom High School Music Boosters. The music boosters provide volunteer support for festivals, football games, parades, community events and fundraising in support of the music programs at Folsom High School.
