The Flamingos created a unique sound that still inspires many artists. As the group celebrates its diamond anniversary, they are known as the “Ambassadors for Romance” and are better than ever.
Led by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Terry Johnson, The Flamingos perform their greatest hits including “I Only Have Eyes for You,” heralded by The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a song that helped define rock and roll.
With nine charted hits and four albums, The Flamingos expand its repertoire during concerts to include classic songs from the American Songbook, an inspiring video tribute honoring the troops, comedy and the kind of show that seems to hit all age groups with pure entertainment.
This mix of cleverly arranged music from the past and present creates a memory-filled concert that brings fans to their feet repeatedly.
Johnson went to Motown Records as an artist and producing partners with Smokey Robinson.
As an artist, he recorded several records on the Gordy Label. He wrote, arranged and produced songs for Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Edwin Starr, The Spinners, Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers, Jimmy Ruffin, Mickey Denton, Blinky and other Motown artists.
