Carson Valley inn plans Super Weekend

A tailgate party on Saturday and triple points plus the 49ers battling the Ravens on Sunday will highlight a super weekend on Feb. 2 and 3 at the Carson Valley Inn on Highway 395 in Minden.

The Saturday tailgate party in the CVI parking lot runs from noon to 4 p.m. with free live entertainment, food and drink specials, drawings and a chance to meet a number of former NFL players.

Chili bowls, hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches will be available along with specially priced beer, hot chocolate and hot toddie specials. Drawings will follow the party at 4:30 with the chance to win up to $5,000.

Former NFL players scheduled to appear are Fred Hawkins — UNR and Oakland Raiders, Glen Carano — UNLV and Dallas Cowboys, Conrad Dobbler — Wyoming and St. Louis Cardinals and Phil Vilipiano — Bowling Green and Oakland Raiders.

On Sunday, Feb. 3, the 49ers vs Ravens game will be shown on the large HD screen in the Cabaret Lounge and on more than 30 flatscreen TVs throughout the casino, poker room, cabaret lounge, sports book and casino bar areas.

NFL merchandise drawings will be held and Budweiser Draft Beer, the  hefty 16 ounce size, will be available. To sweeten the pot, INN Club members will earn triple points between noon and 8 p.m.

Cooked to order bar bites are delivered right to your Cabaret Lounge or Casino Bar seat before, during or after the game. Choose two beef tacos, a one-pound basket of Buffalo chicken wings; chicken strips and fries; a bagel sandwich with fried egg, sausage patty or bacon, and cheddar cheese with fries; a breakfast burrito with eggs, meat, cheese and potatoes — including a free Budweiser Draft; a hamburger or cheeseburger with fires; or a cheese quesadilla.

All of these tasty items are not only available during football — they’re all served 24 hours a day in the Casino Bar or Cabaret Lounge.

The Carson Valley Inn’s Sports and Race Book is adjacent to the Cabaret Lounge and provides a full spectrum of Super Weekend football betting including an imaginative selection of proposition bets, parlay cards, over/unders and straight bets.

The Carson Valley Inn is located on U.S. Highway 395 in Minden, Nev. near the start of State Highway 88.
