For its 46th year, the CDS Championship Show returns to Northern California to be held at the Murieta Equestrian Center in Rancho Murieta from Sept. 19 to 22.
The CDS Championships offer opportunities for dressage enthusiasts, whether an open, adult amateur or junior rider. This show will once again award a multitude of titles across all levels from training to Grand Prix, with expanded championship classes for juniors and young riders.
The perennially-popular CDS Young Horse Futurity (including the Cal-Bred Futurity) has a prize money pool approaching $10,000 and the HorseShow.com/CDS Dressage Seat Equitation Challenge will award fabulous prizes.
Also returning as a part of the CDS Championship Show will be the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Region 7 Dressage Championships and the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championships West Coast Series Final.
Adding to the excitement, riders competing in these regional championship classes now have the opportunity to qualify for the inaugural U.S. Dressage Finals presented by Adequan — the first national head-to-head competition for open and adult amateur exhibitors — to be held Nov. 7 to 10 in Lexington, Kent.
The closing date for entries into the 2013 CDS Championship Show is Monday, Aug. 26. Entries must be received by the show secretary by this date — a postmark date is not enough.
In addition, any horse/rider combination interested in qualifying for the U.S. Dressage Finals must also declare their intention to participate by the same date, Aug. 26.
