PLYMOUTH — Everyone is invited to share the bounties of summer with the wineries of Steiner Road during Steiner Road Summer Fest.
The festival will take place Saturday, Aug. 11 from noon to 4 p.m., starting at 12300 Steiner Road, located near Shenandoah Road on Highway 16, east of Plymouth in Amador County.
The free food and wine event will delight the senses. Guests can visit the beautiful grounds of eight wineries, taste a variety of wines and enjoy special treats featuring local summer produce.
How about some small bits including zucchini-tomato tarts, grilled polenta with vegetable marinara, locally grown veggie lasagna, squash and tomato caponata, pork tamales with local corn, green bean salad, tri-tip sliders and some baby blueberry pies and tartlets.
Plus, Amador Farmers will be set up at various wineries to sell fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Steiner Road — in the heart of the picturesque Shenandoah Valley — is home to many award-winning wineries.
Visitors also can enter to win four tickets to the Big Crush Harvest Festival on the weekend of Oct. 6-7 by visiting at least five of the participating Steiner Road wineries: Shenandoah Vineyards, Amador Foothill, Bella Grace, Deaver Vineyards, Dillian, Renwood and Dobra Zemjla.
