Sidewalk art benefit

By From page B5 | November 16, 2012

The annual Georgetown sidewalk art contest to benefit Georgetown School’s playground project is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.

All ages are welcome to “Chalk the Walk” and the entrance fee is $5.

The sidewalk involved is in front of the VFW Hall and Art on the Divide Cooperative Gallery, 6295 Main St.

Artists have one hour to complete their masterpieces on a canvas that is 2-feet by 2-feet and is designated at the time of sign-up. Chalk will be provided.

Artists may want to bring a pillow to kneel on, and a squirt bottle and rag to erase with.

Prizes will be awarded in adult, teen and child categories, which will include character, landscape and animals.
