Chris Young in concert at Carson Valley Inn

By From page B8 | August 01, 2014

Country singer Chris Young appears in concert on Saturday, Aug. 2 at TJ’s Corral, the Carson Valley Inn’s new outdoor concert and event center. The doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $49 and $59 and are available at carsonvalleyinn.com.

Young has accomplished more by age 28 than some artists do in a lifetime. Already a Grammy-nominated recording artist, he’s also a dynamic live performer consistently in demand, an international ambassador for his genre, a talented songwriter with five No. 1 songs to his name (he wrote four of them) and a handsome charmer to boot.

His album “The Man I Want to Be” included the singles “Voices,” “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)” and “The Man I Want to Be” which all went to No. 1.

Young’s “Neon” album produced two more No. 1s, “Tomorrow” and “You” plus the Top 20 hit “I Can Take It from There.”

Young co-wrote six of the 11 tracks on his latest Album “A.M.” which was released in September of 2013 and contained the Top 5 single “Aw Naw” and his current Top 10 hit “Who I Am With You.”

In addition to his own tour performances, the Murfreesboro, Tenn. native has toured with country stars such as Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert.

The Carson Valley Inn (carsonvalleyinn.com) is located on U.S. Highway 395 in Minden, Nev. near the start of State Highway 88.
