Creole concert at Twisted Oak

Twisted Oak Winery continues the 2013 Twisted Folk Concert Series with the unique and legendary Jeffery Broussard and the Creole Cowboys on Saturday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m.

“All the way from Opelousas, La. — the Zydeco Capital of the World — Twisted Oak welcomes award-winning accordionist Jeffery Broussard and his Creole Cowboys,” said winery co-owner Jeff Stai. “This band can take you from traditional Creole waltzes all the way to modern Zydeco – dancing all the way!”

A hot dinner will be available for purchase, along with Twisted Oak wine, brownies by Wren Catering, popcorn and soft drinks. Concertgoers are welcome to bring their own picnics but no outside alcoholic beverages are allowed.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.; gates open at 6:30 p.m.Tickets are $20 advance, $18 for Twisted Few wine club members, or $25 at the gate, if available. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge.

Twisted Oak Winery is located at 4280 Red Hill Road in Vallecito. The concert venue, located at the winery in Vallecito, sits on a hilltop that commands a sweeping view of the Sierra Nevada and the surrounding foothills. Seating at Twisted Folk concerts is outdoor festival style, first-come, first-served – bring a low beach-type chair or a blanket.
