If a genie could magically transport you to your favorite musical era and surround you with all those great sounds for an evening, would you go?

Of course you would. And if your favorite music was in the ’70s and ’80s, you are in luck.

That genie is alive and well at Union Mine High School where the dance department is presenting “Music Vault.”

It’s a daring, vibrant, energetic and nostalgic review of those tunes you grew up with, sang along with, and shared life and love with.

As if that isn’t enough, the program features original choreography by current and former students.

The show will offer long-forgotten dance fantasies as they might have been, could have been, should have been but maybe weren’t.

The genie is giving you a second chance to relive those fabulous musical times at “Music Vault” on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12, 13 and 14 in the Theater at the Mine, 6530 Koki Lane in El Dorado. Doors open at 7 each night.

Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $6 for students and $5 for students with an ASB card. Tickets are available at the door.
