UNION MINE STUDENTS create a New York City street scene that juxtaposes homeless people with tourists and a passerby in this moving piece choreographed to Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind." Democrat photo by Krysten Kellum

Union Mine High School’s dance department is presenting its winter production, “LIFE” —Love, Inspiration, Fate and Escape — at the Theater at the Mine, 6530 Koki Lane in El Dorado, on Thursday, Dec. 13, Friday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 15.

The annual production features student and alumni choreography that deals with various aspects of the human experience expressed through movement.

The audience should come prepared to laugh, cry and applaud as these talented students present an evening of movement appropriate for the whole family according to dance instructor Georgette Barton.

Doors open for the entertaining evening at 7.

Ticket prices are $8 for adults (21 and over) and $6 for students (12 to 20). Reservations are not necessary.

Cast members are: Samantha Alvarez, Shaley Atkinson, Katherine Boone, Gabi Briceno, Lesina Burdick, Alexis Cardoza, Cailey Carson, Cassidy Chilcott, Ellie Corbett, Nicole Coyle, Michelle Doyle, Cheyenne Ehler, Quinn Evans, Kaitlyn Fly, Amanda Fogelman, Karen Garcia, Cristina Gomez, Megan Gonzales, Aundrea Gregory, Ashley Harris, Stacey Hayhurst, Laura Kenyon, Stevie Kleinhesselink, Ashlee LaFromboise, Daniel LaGrou, Hunter Leikauf, Itzel Lopez, Rikki Lytle, Kalina Maricich, Laura Martin, Alyssa Mastropieri, Ashley Mayhew, Savannah Miller, Kayla Moody, Cassidy Morrison, Kate Neary, Samantha Proud, Mikala Ray,
