EDH Showcase Saturdays is full of fun

As summer comes to a close, the El Dorado Hills Town Center’s popular Showcase Saturdays are ending on a high note.

Showcase Saturdays, perfect for wine lovers, beer connoisseurs and live music fans, have attracted thousands of attendees since the kick-off event in April.

For this finale event on Saturday, Sept. 22, Town Center has partnered with Canine Companions for Independence for its fourth annual Zoom Zoom Woof Woof Classic Car Show and Concert.

The series finale starting at 5 p.m. will host wine and beer tasting from 12 local wineries, two live bands on the boulevard; Cash Prophets, a Johnny Cash Tribute Band, and Island of the Black and White, a classic rock with a reggae influence, and starting at 8 p.m. a special performance by musician, Johnny Reno, recognized worldwide for his award-winning tribute to Elvis Presley in the Steven Young Amphitheater.

Canine Companions for Independence is bringing its fourth annual Zoom Zoom Woof Woof Car Show to the boulevard from 5 to 8 p.m.

This year’s car show will feature classic, custom and exotic cars. A car show for enthusiasts and novices alike, the Gold Rush Champions will be holding demonstrations of CCI puppies in training and graduates with their service dogs.

CCI is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly-trained assistance dogs, and the ongoing support needed to ensure a successful partnership.

Event attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a commemorative wine glass from the wineries, with proceeds benefiting CCI.

“Town Center has had a blockbuster summer. New tenants, events and entertainment have made El Dorado Hills a destination every day of the week,” said Natalie Buerki, marketing director for El Dorado Hills Town Center. “From the farmers market to Live on the Boulevard concerts, special community and non-profit events, and merchant and retail promotions, you have it all right here.”

El Dorado Hills Town Center, off Highway 50 at Latrobe Road, features shops, restaurants, nightlife, entertainment and amenities in a scenic pedestrian and family friendly atmosphere. Town Center provides one stop to shop, dine, stay and play.
