El Dorado County Pageant meeting

The El Dorado County Pageant is back. The pageant will be held Thursday, June 13 at 8 p.m. at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville on opening night of the Fair.

This is a natural pageant and no experience is necessary. There will be three age divisions: junior miss, ages 11 to 13; teen, ages 14 to 16; and miss, ages 17 to 19.

The areas of competition are formal wear, casual wear and on stage question. A $250 scholarship will be awarded to the winner of each division.

There is an informational meeting on Saturday, May 11 at the Rescue Fire Department at 1:30 p.m. This meeting will provide all the information about the pageant and give prospective contestants the opportunity to ask questions. Organizers will have experienced pageant personnel at the meeting to give tips on hair, makeup, outfits and more.
