El Dorado High School is up for 11 Ellys

El Dorado High School’s stage arts department has received 18 Elly Award nominations from the Sacramento Area Regional Theater Alliance.

The school’s production of “Cats the Musical garnered 11 nominations starting with overall production. Other nominations are: Paul Tomei — direction; Terri Thomas and Cynthia Morrison — costume design; Diana Erickson — set design; Ryan Aire Blanning — choreography; Logan Thomas, Evan Lucero and Raymond Thomson — supporting actors; Ron — lighting design; Lorna Perpall — musical direction; and Bob Nieman — sound design.

The Placerville school also earned six nominations for 6 for “Rimers of Eldritch” including one for overall production; and Paul Tomei — direction; Ben Benjamin Butler and Odin Rasco — lighting design; Logan Thomas — supporting actor; David Shelnutt — set design; and Paul Tomei — sound design.

The high school congratulates all of the students and faculty who brought this amazing musical to life acknowledged the incredible team effort by the drama family and the amazing support by all of the community businesses and families who donate to the department year after year.
