Nuptials are planned for Oct. 18 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Sterling, Va.
The bride, who is an executive assistant in the finance department at Freddie Mac, graduated with a B.A. in history from West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon.
The groom, son of Brenda Jacoby of Sterling, Va., and Edmond Jacoby of Placerville, is a U.S. Navy veteran who, as an aviation warfare specialist 2nd class and helicopter tactical rescue swimmer,
was stationed in Norfolk and in Europe and the Persian Gulf.
He is an estimator/project manager for Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling in Manassas, and recently received an A.A. in construction management from Northern Virginia Community College.
The couple met online and after exchanging e-mails finally met face-to-face at a coffee shop
in January 2012.
