The bride-to-be is the daughter of Azniv and Karpet Madaryan of Mission Hills.
She is a 2001 graduate from James Monroe High School in North Hills and has a 2007 associates degree in humanities from Los Angeles College in Sylmar.
She works for the State of California.
The groom-to-be is the son of Bill and Jean Bourgeois of Shingle Springs.
He is a 2001 graduate from Ponderosa High School in Shingle Springs and a 2007 graduate from California State University, Sacramento with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
He is a civil engineer with HDR Engineering Corp.
The couple met on eharmony.com. Both had given up on love. They asked God to bring the love of their life into their lives with this one last chance at togetherness. Brett messaged Narine and that was the beginning. He proposed to her on her birthday, March 30. She turned 30 and was proposed to by the man of her dreams on the same day.
He knelt and nervously asked, “I love you so much, will you marry me?”
She had just taken a bite of an egg sandwich, one of their favorite food items, and asked, “Really?” She then composed herself and jumped up crying, “Yes, forever, always.”
The wedding will be in Sacramento.
