The Fabulous Liars go back to school on Saturday, March 9, in El Dorado Hills, when the band performs at the annual fundraiser for Cedar Springs Waldorf School.

The 10th annual auction and dinner party starts at 5 p.m. at Lakehills Covenant Church, 7000 Rossmore Lane in El Dorado Hills.

For the Fabulous Liars lead singer, Doug Jarman, it’s a great event for a school he knows well.

“Having been a parent of two girls who attended Cedar Springs Waldorf, I have been to many Waldorf fundraisers,” Jarman said. “I never thought I would be performing at one of them.”

Performing is what The Fabulous Liars do best. The Placerville-based five-piece band plays regularly at area venues, including several performances last summer at the California State Fair and El Dorado County Fair.

Playing tunes from all decades of rock, The Fabulous Liars specialize in “classic rock rarely heard” — songs by famous bands and artists that haven’t been done over and over again, in addition to playing hits from yesterday and today.

Attendees at the March 9 fundraiser can expect high-energy, great songs, great harmonies and fun from The Fabulous Liars according to the organizers.
