Gold Country Artists Gallery displays love notes

Gold Country Artists Gallery through March 3, is featuring its sixth annual “Love is in the Air” show.

This year the member artists are supporting the special community effort to give a note of thanks and appreciation to community members by displaying notes and cards of thanks and love notes to the community and individuals.

The gallery has colorful blank heart notes for visitors to the gallery to add their notes of recognition or of thanks to friends and community members. These will be displayed in the gallery window throughout the month of February in addition to artwork reflecting the “Love is in the Air” theme.

Gallery art work includes paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, gourds, wood, glass and original greeting cards — a wide variety of fine arts.

The Gold County Gallery, a cooperative of 45 local professional artists, is located at 379 Main St. in historical downtown Placerville.

Gallery hours are daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on the Third Saturday Art Walk on Feb. 16.
