“An Evening with Jason Alexander and His Hair” will perform at Harris Center on Wednesday, Oct 23 at 7:30 p.m.
Jason Alexander — actor, director, Tony Award-winner and Seinfeld alum — delivers a variety show as diverse, as entertaining and as enthusiastic as his résumé. Featuring stand-up comedy, music, audience participation and a Seinfeld Q & A, come for a unique glimpse into the multi-award winner’s charismatic, enthusiastic personality.
Alexander is undoubtedly best known for his iconic portrayal of hapless George Costanza on the legendary hit show “Seinfeld.” The series continues to play around the world, showcasing the reason Alexander received seven Emmy nominations, four Golden Globe nominations, two American Television Awards, two American Comedy Awards and two Screen Actor Guild awards for his indelible work.
Initially focusing on the Broadway stage, Alexander starred in the original production of Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along” as well as “The Rink,” Neil Simon’s “Broadway Bound,” and Jerome Robbin’s “Broadway ” — a musical revue that Alexander both authored and starred in, playing 14 different roles each night and for which he won the Drama Desk, Outer Critic Circle and Tony Award for Best Musical Actor.
