Healing arts event returns to Volcano

Enjoy a day tucked in the woods during the third annual Healing Arts Gathering on Saturday, July 20 as specialists in holistic modalities, intuitive arts and other spiritual guidance converge at the Health in Harmony Retreat in Volcano from noon to 6 p.m.

“I do this every year because I want the community to be aware of the holistic alternative field — that there are different options for good health and well being,” said retreat owner and event organizer Christine Branich-DaRosa — a behavioral therapist, life empowerment coach and clinical hypnotherapist.

“If you can do something natural for yourself first and learn prevention, then you won’t have to end up with surgery or prescription drugs. That’s a very positive thing for health and well being,” Branch-DaRosa said.

Admission is free to the gathering that will feature holistic modalities and intuitive readings for $1 per minute — not to exceed 30 minutes — including reiki and therapeutic massage sessions, ionic detox foot baths, facial cleansing, tarot and oracle readings, thought coaching, frequency infusions and chakra clearing.

A chakra/aura photographer and analyst will be on hand, as well as suppliers with healing stones and crystals.

New to this year’s event will be a numerologist, several hand-crafted jewelers as well as other vendors, and a shamanic drum circle in the middle of the day.

Complimentary refreshments will be served and other healthy foods will be available for sale at an additional charge.

“Holistic medicine is important because it treats the whole person — mind, body, emotions — which then heals the spirit,” Branch-DaRosa said.

The Health in Harmony Retreat is located at 24500 Shake Ridge Road in Volcano.
