Former El Dorado County resident Jackie Greene will return to Fairytale Town, 3901 Land Park Drive in Sacramento, for a fifth annual benefit concert on Saturday, Aug. 24. Taking place on the park’s Mother Goose Stage, the outdoor concert supports Fairytale Town’s education programs and park improvements.
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 8 p.m.
Tickets are available at fairytaletown.org and are $35. Parking is free.
The concert is held in an outdoor music festival environment. Blankets are encouraged; low stadium-style chairs with legs 10-inches tall or less will be permitted. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Outside food and beverages, including ice chests and picnic baskets, will not be admitted.

Greene has a reputation for putting on an energetic live show and has earned the respect of critics and musicians across the country. He has recorded seven albums of original work and has released a book of lyrics.
Greene has just toured with The Black Crowes and recently released a limited edition single in celebration of Record Store Day 2013.

Fairytale Town is a nonprofit children’s park and educational center in Land Park whose mission is to promote the imagination, creativity and education of children. Established in 1959, Fairytale Town is home to 25 three-dimensional play sets based on favorite fairytales and nursery rhymes, a family of 22 rare and miniature breed animals, three interactive learning gardens and two performing arts stages.
From March through October, the park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. From November through February, the park is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
