Kitties can get frisky to win ‘The Friskies’

By From page B2 | July 10, 2013

Your cat can be a star, win cash prizes, possibly a Friskies Catuette and help Animal Outreach of the Mother Lode win free catfood.

The program runs through July 15.

For the second year, Animal Outreach has partnered with Friskies Pet Food for “The Friskies,” a major award for the best new Internet cat videos of 2013.

During “The Friskies” contest, Friskies donates more than 250,000 cans of cat food to 20 partner animal-rescue organizations.

Each organization will receive a minimum of 7,500 cans and will have the opportunity to increase this donation, up to an additional 10,000 cans per charity, based on its overall participation.

In 2012, Animal Outreach of the Mother Lode received many pallets of catfood from Friskies, a huge boon to their mission to save cats from euthanasia, according to Animal Outreach volunteers.
