Laitinen teaches color mixing in watercolor

“Color mixing in Watercolor” with artist Dale Laitinen comes to the Petroglyphe Gallery in Mokelumne Hill on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

This workshop is for those who want to develop skills for practical color mixing in watercolor. Participants will learn techniques for color mixing and changing colors by using proper ratios of color to water on the brush. Find out the secret to getting great color mixes and preventing muddy paintings.

Laitinen is best known for his watercolor paintings of the mountains and deserts of the Western United States. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and Watercolor West.

Laitinen has conducted workshops throughout the United States and in France. He lives and works in Mountain Ranch.

Petroglyphe Gallery is located at 8317 Main St. in Mokelumne Hill. The gallery is open Thursdays through Saturdays from 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
