“Christmas in the Country” is the theme of the Monday, Dec. 10 Christmas Women’s Connection luncheon at the beautiful Cold Springs Country Club, 6500 Clubhouse Drive in Placerville.
Seating is at 11:30 a.m. with the program following at noon.
Local storyteller Penny Forpahl will enchant listeners with a masterfully told Christmas story to set the mood for the holidays.
Education administrator and accomplished soprano, Wilma Pickrell, tells the story of replacing doubt with truth and finding a new “sound of music,” and will both sing and lead a sing-a-long of a cheerful medley of Christmas songs and carols to celebrate the joy of the season.
The group is also accepting canned goods donations for the holiday season to benefit the Upper Room in Placerville to help feed the hungry during this special time of need.
Reservations are essential and cancellations required by Thursday, Dec. 6.
