Mosbacher selected to honor band

Cameron MosbacherThe California Band Directors Association has announced that Cameron Mosbacher from Ponderosa High School has been selected through audition to be a participant in the 2014 California All-State Honor Band.

The All-State Honor Bands are held in conjunction with the California Band Directors Association annual convention in Fresno on Feb. 20-23.

There were approximately 1,500 students from schools throughout the state that auditioned for the 2014 All-State Bands and the best students were selected.

Mosbacher is the 17-year-old son of Dave and Susette Mosbacher and is a member of the Ponderosa High School marching, symphonic and jazz bands under the direction of Mike Gunderson.

The board of directors of the California Band Directors Association congratulates Mosbacher his successful effort in becoming a part of the All-State Honor Bands.

Conductors for the 2014 All-State Honor Ensembles will be Allan McMurray, University of Colorado; Tony Mazzaferro, Fullerton College; Frank Tracz, Kansas State University; Cheryl Floyd, Hill County Middle School; Angela Woo, John Adams Middle School; Paul Lucckesi, Buchanan High School; Joey Sellers, Saddleback College; Richard Meyer, Pasadena Youth Symphony; and Kenneth Kiesler, University of Michigan.
