Music in the Park to benefit Kris Bingham

By From page B7 | May 30, 2014

Join the community in Garden Valley Park on Sunday, June 1, from 1-6 p.m., for a benefit for Kris Bingham. Bingham’s life changed forever on the evening of April 4 when he was involved in a tragic car accident after a tree had fallen across both lanes of Marshall Road. His car crashed through the upper branches, leaving him a quadriplegic.

All money collected from the event will go toward the Kris Bingham Trusts. A $5-$10 donation is suggested upon entry per person; bring lawn chairs and a smile. The 2009 graduate of Golden Sierra High School has many needs and financial support from the community is essential.

Live musical performances will be provided by the Karma Addicts, Hickory Wind, the Tepid Club of Cool, Brad and the Phil-Billys, and the Buzz Tones. There also will be a kids zone with activities, the Golden Sierra Junior Grizzlies cheer squad, food sales, desserts, a Rotary club barbecue, snow cone stand, water lemonade, ice tea, soda and adult beverages for sale.

If unable to attend, donations may also be made at helpkrisbingham.com.

This event is hosted by the Garden Valley Community Association, and is a Georgetown Divide Recreation District community partner event.
