Miraflores Winery, 2120 Four Springs Trail in the Pleasant Valley area, is presenting the Classical Music in the Vineyard Series.
On Saturday, Oct. 27 Pianist Richard Cionco is performing.
Praised by Donal Henahan of the New York Times for his “sensitive pianism,” he first performed as soloist with an orchestra at 9, and has since performed with many orchestras including the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra, and with the Seijo Symphony of Tokyo in a Washington, D.C. concert that commemorated Japan’s admission to the United Nations.
He has performed in recitals in nearly every major U.S. city and his performances of Liszt’s complete 12 Transcendental Etudes have brought him rave reviews.
The music starts at 6 p.m. and costs $25 for general admission and $20 for club members.
To go with the concert chef Giovanni Gaudio is preparing a box dinner of savory mushroom bread pudding, turkey meatballs with a ginger-citrus sauce and walnut tort for $18.
Sip some wine and enjoy the concert on the vineyard patio. Bring a lawn chair.
For ticket sand dinner reservations call 530-647 8505.
No outside food or alcoholic beverages are allowed.
