Perry Creek wine dinner at Torinos

Torino’s Italian Ristorante, 251 Main St. in Placerville, is having a wine pairing dinner featuring the award-winning wines from Perry Creek Winery in Fair Play.

Five course dinner is Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m.

The wine dinner menu is: a tomato and butternut squash puree with basil cream fraîche soup paired with a 2009 Zinman Reserve; the appetizer course is fresh mozzarella roulade with prosciutto, basil and arugula parmesan salad or a Sicilian shrimp with garlic, shallots, chili flakes, basil and butter paired with a 2011 Altitude Peak Vineyard Chardonnay; the intermezzo is a white peach sorbetto with cucumber, limoncello and mint paired with 2011 Zinman Rosé; the entrée is a choice of tortelloni Mama Rosa with beef tenderloin tips or rosemary lamb ragu with portabella mushroom ravioli or prosciutto stuffed chicken breast with roasted vegetables paired with the 2011 Altitude Barbara; and dessert is macaroon cheesecake paired with Perry Creek 2012 Moscato.
