The “Personal Petroglyphs” exhibit will open on Saturday, Oct. 5 with an artist demonstration from 3 to 5 p.m. and a reception from 6 to 9 p.m.
Findleton and Laitinen’s new works capture the spectacular plays of light and shadow offered by the ancient landscapes of the American Southwest.
At this special exhibition of “Personal Petroglyphs,” the gallery visitors can experience the transcendence inspired by the awesome and foreboding environments of America’s most spectacular canyons and deserts.
The gallery personnel invite the public to the opening reception to visit with the artists and learn more about their painting adventures in Nevada, Utah and Arizona.
Enjoy Findleton Estate wines and delectable appetizers. There will be a free drawing for a $100 gift certificate to the gallery at the closure of the opening event.
Petroglyphe Gallery is located at 8317 Main St. in downtown historic Mokelumne Hill.
The gallery is open Thursdays through Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
