Placerville celebrates Earth Day

method_0317Come one and all to the Placerville Earth Day Celebration on the green of the El Dorado County Library in Placerville, 345 Fair Lane, on Saturday April 26 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

This family oriented event will have something for everyone.

For the music lover there is an all-day concert featuring the Thankful Heads, a Grateful Dead cover band; The Celtic Method, Celtic, acoustic rock; Rat Stomp, reggae, surf; String Thing, guitar oriented jazz; David Martin, acoustic, and The Bear Foot Singers, Native American, drumming, song and storytelling.

For shopping there will be an art and crafts fair with some of the county’s best craftspeople selling hand-made items.

For the children there will be activities and a special appearance by Smokey Bear.

There will be information booths and food will be available for sale or bring a picnic and make a day of it. Please no alcohol or dogs, or alcoholic dogs, but do bring a low back chair, a blanket and sunscreen.
