With the help of the Curves community, the 14th annual national Curves food drive collected 1,123 pounds of food for the Food Bank of El Dorado County.
Placerville Curves manager Ky Bessom stated this year they exceeded their goal.
“It’s awesome, the members really came together. It’s a huge effort, the members should feel great about being able to contribute in such a meaningful way, I am really proud of our ladies,” Bessom said.
“The food drive is an excellent program that fits perfectly with the Curves philosophy: promoting the health of the whole woman. The opportunity for our members to give back to the El Dorado County community promotes the spirit of giving,” Bessom said.
She added, “Since 2004, the Curves food drive nationwide has brought in more than 61 million pounds of food for local food banks.”
Placerville Curves is at 81 Fair Lane Drive in Placerville. For more information call 530-295-9020.
