The Cameron Park Community Services District in collaboration with El Dorado Dog Owners Guild presents the fourth annual Pooch Plunge and Laps at the Lake on Saturday, Aug.18.
Bring your dogs and come have fun in the sun at Cameron Park Lake for a day of swimming, playing, or walking around the lake from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All proceeds from the event will go towards funding a dog park at Hacienda Park on Cameron Park Drive in Cameron Park.
All dogs must have their rabies and other vaccinations and license in the county where they reside. Owners need to bring written proof of license.
Dog owners attend for free and there must be one person for every two dogs. There is a $7 fee for the first dog and $5 for the second dog.
No people will be allowed to swim with the dogs.
Dogs that do not socialize well with other dogs will be asked to leave and owners are asked to clean up after their pooch(es).
The El Dorado Dog Owners Guild is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the creation of off-leash dog parks in El Dorado County, where canine citizens can socialize and exercise in a clean, safe environment.
Cameron Park Lake is located at 2989 Cambridge Road in Cameron Park.
