Red Hawk supports county food bank

In time for Halloween, Red Hawk Casino is hosting a $10,000 spooktacular slot tournament to benefit the Food Bank of El Dorado County on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Red Hawk Casino will be donating $2 for each person who participates in the slot tournament to the Food Bank of El Dorado County. Participants must have a Red Hawk Rewards Club card to participate and any one 21 and over can sign up for free.

Red Hawk Casino is providing a fun opportunity for its patrons to win free play while supporting the Food Bank of El Dorado County’s network of more than 30 local charities that will work in collaboration to provide emergency food assistance to at-risk children, seniors and families in El Dorado County.

Food bank staff and volunteers will be on site to showcase its charities, mobile food pantry and provide information to patrons on how they can continue to support the food bank or receive help in El Dorado County.

Mike Sproull, food bank executive director, is “elated to work with Red Hawk to not only raise funds but educate the community on how they can get assistance or help out our neighbors who struggle daily to make ends meet.”

“Red Hawk Casino is proud to have the ability to support such a worthy organization in such an entertaining way,” Bryan deLugo, Red Hawk Casino general manager said.

“We urge everyone to come out to Red Hawk Casino and participate in the tournament while having some fun and supporting El Dorado County’s largest collaborative charity — the Food Bank of El Dorado County,” deLugo added.
