Reggae/Latin sound comes to Cozmic

Lainey Moon will be debuting with the band Mind’s Body with RaDanté Keyson Saturday, June 2 at the Cozmic Café, 594 Main St. in Placerville. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Mind’s Body is a reggae/Latin band with a rock edge.

The recent addition of Moon to the group has further solidified the group’s stance of supporting strong young talent.

Moon (aka: the girl with heart), is a young lady with a voice so powerful it leaves audiences speechless.

She was born with health challenges that gave little hope of survival. By the time she was 3 months old, she had undergone one of multiple heart surgeries. But she and her family weren’t ready to give up, she knew that she had a purpose and she pulled through with a strong desire and a voice that just won’t quit.

Moon has become a regular performer of the “National Anthem” at Placerville Speedway. Consistently drawing standing ovations, she is scheduled to bring this awe inspiring performance to fans at Raley Field for a River Cats game and perform original live music with Mind’s Body at local venues that benefit the community.

Mind’s Body supports local youth with opportunities through Music in Life Educations and Schools, (MILES project), fundraisers for local school band programs and by giving back to local Boys and Girls clubs in the area.

Additionally music fans will experience unique performances by artists such as RaDanté Keys. With his personal experiences of traveling with major artists around the world, RaDanté brings music back to the local market with an international flavor. While in Jamaica, RaDanté wrote a song based on the Jamaican culture called “Jamaican Soul” and henceforth sold over a million copies in South America.
