The Falcon’s Eye Theatre will showcase the contemporary relevance of Shakespeare’s classic tale of two feuding families when it presents “Romeo and Juliet” Friday, Nov. 2 through Nov. 18 on the City Studio stage at Folsom Lake College’s Three Stages Performing Arts Center, 10 College Parkway in Folsom.
Finding love in a dangerous time and unaccepting society, Romeo and Juliet must hide from the blind anger and ignorance of the adult world that surrounds them.
Urgency abounds in their boxed-in world, while powerful issues eventually overwhelm the star-crossed lovers in this timeless romantic tragedy.
“Romeo and Juliet” is directed by Folsom Lake College Producing Artistic Director David Harris, and features Bonnie Antonini, Ethan Cockrill, Kim Golubev, Patrick Gonzales, Cathy Hardin-Schau, Tony Hutto, Steve Mackay, Alyssa Mathews, Paul Scott, Dale Tagtmeyer and Brennan Villados.
Folsom Lake College instructor Ian Wallace serves as production designer and technical director, with Rebecca Redmond providing costume designs. Les Solomon is the lighting and sound designer.
Performances will be given at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
Tickets are $10 for students and seniors and $15 for general admission. In addition, a 2 p.m. matinée will be performed Nov. 3, as well as a 7:30 p.m. performance on Nov. 8 with all student tickets discounted to $5, with appropriate identification.

Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 916-608-6888. Some service charges can be avoided by purchasing tickets in person at the Three Stages box office, 10 College Parkway, Folsom. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and two hours prior to any performance.
Please note: performances of “Romeo and Juliet” contain graphic violence, swordplay, and gunfire, as well as suggestive, sexual language and sexual situations. Parental guidance is strongly suggested for those under 13. No one under 6 will be admitted.
