Rose Society hosts a rose shopping spree

The Mother Lode Rose Society is hosting a fabulous showcase of the latest variety of roses at its annual rose auction on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Amador Senior Center, 229 New York Ranch Road in Jackson.

If you are planning to landscape a new area this is the perfect time to purchase new roses at a bargain. These roses are a perfect addition to anyone’s landscape.

There are more than 60 roses to be auctioned.

Come and bid as auctioneer Lou Campbell assisted by “Rose Buds” Steve and Debra Kinnick sell these prize roses to the highest bidder. It is such fun to be competitive and try to outbid your opponent to get the rose you want.

Consulting rosarians will be present to help with your planting questions and the care of the new roses.

This event is to raise funds to maintain the only public rose garden in Amador County at the Senior Center in Jackson.

Coffee and other refreshments will be available.

For more information call Elsina at 530-620-2200 or Steve and Debra Kinnick at 209-256-4636 or visit
